Why we need a plan
We have a strategy for how we will work with people and groups. A strategy means a plan or a guide. It helps people understand and feel confident to take part in making changes.
It gives information to:
- groups
- councils
- charities
- business
- communities
And it supports our plans for climate action to help us:
- be more prepared for climate change
- produce less of the gases that make climate change worse
- look after nature and wildlife
The plan will:
- help people understand how climate change and harm to nature affects them
- help people take part in making decisions about how we deal with these problems
- help people to take action and make changes in their homes and their communities
- help different groups work together
- make sure the way decisions are made is fair and clear
