Sea trout catch by fishing method

In 2025, 91% of the total annual reported catch, including released and retained sea trout, was accounted for by the rod fisheries. Fixed engine fisheries accounted for 4% and net and coble fisheries accounted for 5%. Of the retained catch, rods accounted for 49%, compared to 24% for fixed engine and 28% for net and coble.
