Russia-bound flight from Inverness after introduction of flight restrictions to Russia: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

Copies of all correspondence sent to or from government ministers and/or civil servants, since 1st May 2020, in which there is discussion of a Russia-bound flight which took off from Inverness Airport on February 26, 2022, one day after restrictions were introduced flights linked to Russia.

Attached is a copy of some of the information you requested. Some of the information you have requested is available from the Scottish Government website.

If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the website listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption an exemption under section 38(1) (b) (Personal Details) of FOISA applies to that information. The reason why this exemption applies is explained in the Annex to this letter.
