5. Purpose of this Consultation
The Scottish Government is consulting on proposals to increase the statutory fees recoverable by police or their contractors when removing, storing, or disposing of vehicles under certain legislative powers.
This seeks feedback on:
- Statutory fee uplifts for removal, storage and disposal (% uplift tbc).
- Updates to ferry and mileage rates.
Any changes will be implemented through amendments to secondary legislation.
