The Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gealic, Kate Forbes MSP today announced the appointment of Anna Austin as a Member of the Board of South Of Scotland Enterprise.
Member
Anna Austin is the Estate Manager for the Caerlaverlock Estate, a 6000 acre coastal estate south of Dumfries overseeing the farming, tourism, hospitality and property businesses. Anna recently delivered a large scale diversity project, aimed at restoring natural habitats across the Estate. Previously a lawyer, Anna also has significant legal and commercial experience having specialised in regulatory and commercial law for over ten years while working for McGrigors and William Grant and Sons. She has a MBA from Strathclyde Business School and has held several sales and procurement roles within the whisky industry.
Appointment
The appointment is for four years from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2029.
The appointment is regulated by the Ethical Standards Commissioner.
Remuneration and time commitment
The appointment attracts remuneration of £275.58 per day for a time commitment of 2.5 days per month.
