Yellow-legged hornet: pest-specific contingency plan.
This plan sets out the role of the Scottish Government in response to a suspected or confirmed incursion of the Yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina nigrithorax) within Scotland: the actions to be taken as well as governance, roles and responsibilities.
Errata
An errata was published on 14th of March 2025 to address changes made throughout the document, specifically updating references to the “Asian hornet” to the “Yellow-legged hornet.” Both the HTML and PDF versions have been updated to reflect these changes
