OEUK, Shell, and Equinor correspondence with Ministers: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

Details of all communication, (including emails), as well as details of all meetings (government briefing papers, talking points, agendas, minutes, agreed points of action) between Kate Forbes MSP (and or her private secretary), Ivan McKee (and or his private secretary), and/or Roy Brannen and/or Kersti Berge; with the following:

  • Senior executives at OEUK, including Board Co-Chairs Arne Gurtner, Sian Lloyd Rees and Vice Chair, Neil McCulloch as well as Deirdre Michie (and or her private secretary), and / or
  • senior executives at Shell and/or the PR company Weber Shandwick, and / or
  • senior executives at Equinor; Defining senior executive as someone in a senior leadership position, such as board level, CEO, Chief Operating Officer, or chief finance officer Dating from 1st January 2021 to 7th October 2022.

Response

I enclose a copy of some of the information you requested. An exemption under section 38(1) applies to some of the information you have requested. Personal data of third parties has been removed.

While our aim is to provide information wherever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested. We have no record of communications between Kersti Berge or Roy Brannen and OEUK including Board Co-Chair Members/Shell/ Weber Shanswick/ Equinor or between Kate Forbes MSP (and or her private secretary), Ivan McKee (and or his private secretary) and Weber Shandwick. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
