Who this covers
This pay agreement - covering 2025 to 2027 - applies to NHS staff governed by the Agenda for Change agreement, including:
- nurses and midwives
- paramedics
- allied health professionals
- porters
Main points
- 2 year pay deal covering 2025 to 2026, and 2026 to 2027
- 8.15%* total pay increase for all staff in 2 stages:
- 4.4%* from 1 April 2025
- 3.75% from 1 April 2026
- guaranteed to be at least one percentage point above CPI inflation each year
- the 2025 to 2026 increase was adjusted from 4.25% to 4.4% to maintain the one percentage point margin above CPI (which averaged 3.4%)
- includes allowances, Recruitment and Retention Premium (RRP), and Two-Tier Agreement
*Uplifted by 0.15% as CPI inflation averaged 3.4% in 2025
