National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy for young disabled people: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment
National Transitions to Adulthood Strategy for young disabled people: child rights and wellbeing impact assessment
8. Communication of Impacts
How will you communicate to children and young people the impact that the proposal will have on their rights?
Each priority of the Strategy outlines how it will impact on children’s rights. The Strategy has been published in full, Easy Read, Audio Recording and in British Sign Language (BSL).
The Strategy and it’s associated impact assessments will be shared with those who contributed to its development where permission has been granted and disseminated to individuals via organisations who provide support to young disabled people who are going through transition planning. We will also continue to work with young disabled people to support implementation of the Strategy and continue to review impact assessments as implementation is monitored towards the initial progress report by end of 2026.
