Once for Scotland guidance to support NHS Boards in the development of comprehensive Psychology Service Operational Plans that can act as a route to the enhancement of service delivery and management of services.
6. Finance and Resource Requirements
Operational improvement proposals will frequently require investment and may, depending on Board processes, require additional articulation through a business case. For an Operational Plan the areas that should be covered are:
- Details of the current financial position of Psychology (sources of funding, high level budget, surplus / deficit position, current savings expectations / targets).
- An overview of the total finance / investment proposals required to deliver the improvements proposed within the Operational Plan (including additions to senior management where required to support service performance improvement).
- Identification of any further process that may be required to secure investment including associated timescales.
