10. Appendix 4 – Capacity Modelling
Capacity modelling for Psychology is complex due to the degree of variation in patients’ needs and practitioner job roles. Nevertheless, it is necessary to provide a basis for planning and estimation of resource requirements. The Scottish Guide shown below provides a broad perspective on capacity modelling calculations. Whilst this guide dates from 2010, it provides an overview of capacity modelling concepts and calculations as discussed further below.
