National Care Service - independent advocacy: co-design insights and next steps – easy read

This report sets out findings we have gathered through research and co-design that relate to independent advocacy.

Since 2023, we have run 47 engagements to learn more about independent advocacy.

We spoke to lots of people from different backgrounds and communities across Scotland.

The people who took part had experience of getting social care support or helping someone who did.

Some people who took part had used or provided independent advocacy.

Some other people who took part had never heard of independent advocacy before.

We also worked with organisations that help people who have difficulty sharing their story with Scottish Government.
