The industry which made the largest negative contribution to three-month GDP growth was Information & Communications, which contributed -0.1 percentage points of growth to headline GDP.

In the three months to November 2025 compared to the three months to August 2025, output in the Production sector is estimated to have grown by 0.7%, while Services sector output grew by 0.3%. Construction sector output contracted by 1.1% in November.

As reported by the Office for National Statistics, there were some common themes that were anecdotally reported to have played a part in performance across different industries in November 2025, as part of the monthly business surveys.

Businesses across the production, construction and services sectors reported that they, or their customers, were waiting for the outcome of the Autumn Budget 2025 announcement on 26 November 2025. These comments came from a range of industries, but were mainly from manufacturers, construction companies, wholesalers, computer programmers, real estate firms, and employment agencies.
