GDP Monthly Estimate: March 2025

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) statistics measure changes in the output of the economy. This is an Official Statistics in Development publication for Scotland.


Scotland’s onshore GDP is estimated to have contracted by 0.2% in March. This follows unrevised contraction of 0.2% in February.

 

In the three months to March (Quarter 1), GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.4% compared to the previous three month period (2024 Quarter 4). This follows growth of 0.1% in 2024 Quarter 4.
