GDP Monthly Estimate: June 2026

In the three months to June 2026, compared to the three months to March 2026:

• Scotland’s real onshore Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is estimated to have grown by 0.7%. This follows growth of 0.5% in the three months to May 2026 (revised down from growth of 0.6% in our last publication) and unrevised 0.2% growth in the three months to April 2026.

• Services sector output is estimated to have grown by 0.6%, while the production sector is estimated to have grown by 0.9%. Construction sector output grew by 0.3%.

• The low level sector which made the largest positive contribution to overall GDP growth was Retail, Wholesale & Motor Trades, contributing around 0.1 percentage points towards headline growth. The Other Services sector made the largest negative contribution contributing around 0.1 percentage points.

Monthly GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.5% in June 2026, after 0.1% contraction in May 2026 (revised down from 0.1% growth in our last publication) and 0.5% growth in April 2026 (revised down from growth of 0.8% in our last publication).
