Items and actions
Actions from previous meeting
A021
Work on certificate collation will remain ongoing until handover and is in collaboration with MCA etc. who also have an exemptions process and that will be worked through. This will also have to be built into process for CalMac for handover of the vessel. FMPG will provide a list to CalMac to cross-check against expectations and needs.
Action FMPG
A027
Work remains ongoing with this but no concerns.
CalMac are still purchasing spares – the lists are separated between responsibilities of who is purchasing what spares – operational or mechanical etc. CalMac confirmed that the spares are clearly identified and outlined but SG noted that the costing process for this will need to be bottomed out as to what to include in the voted loan.
Action – FMPG
A028
Business case received by SG from CMAL.
SG need some legal advice on the payment process as this will take place after the 801 contract is terminated. Whether this will need a new warranty contract for payments to be paid against will need to be considered.
Action – SG
A029
This is linked with A028 and legal advice will be sought – action for SG.

An updated copy with new delivery date will be shared. Comms will be managed and how sannox fits into timetables to serve arran will be tied in with all four parties. All comms lines and timetables to be shared across the group.
Action - CalMac / FMPG
Hot topics
LNG commissioning will be complete on 18 August and LNG sea trials are marked for 29 – 31 August.
Further owners sea trials in 2 – 06 September. The sea trials programme is up to date and has been worked through with CMAL.
Evacuation system – signed off by MCA
Ongoing snagging issues to complete – e.g. the machinery spaces are getting cleaned.
More detailed level 2 plan to be shared with the workgroup.
[REDACTED]
One of the sprinkler systems went off but no big impact recorded from this.
Crewing and staffing will need to be determined between CalMac and FMPG in order to determine who is liable for the vessel for sea trials. Will it be the captain provided by CalMac or is it the shipyard? SG noted that bunkering and LNG sea trials cannot commence without a resolution to this question and if liability is the main obstacle then FMPG may need to outsource a chief for this role. Progress and an update on this is to come back at next week’s meeting from FMPG.
Systems and operational readiness of the vessel needs to be presented by FMPG to and accepted by CMAL and the MCA. Managing this work has been allocated and [REDACTED] is taking on a lot of this work. Allowing time for this to happen needs to be factored into the programme. SG are looking for reassurance that this work will be prioritised and followed through in order to ensure no further impacts on delivery.
