There has been engagement with the Scottish Courts & Tribunal Service, Police Scotland and National Records of Scotland to establish the impact on these bodies in the event that those affected by the pardon (or surviving relatives) choose to confirm details of relevant convictions. Few if any detailed records survive from the Strike given the passage of time, and persons seeking historical conviction information may rely on existing arrangements to this information if that is their wish.
