Details of specialism
I am the Biological effects lead in the Marine Environment Assessment (MEA) Group. My main focus is on the marine assessment of biological effects of contaminants and I contribute to regional assessments at Scottish, UK (Marine Strategy Framework Directive descriptor 8) and OSPAR level. I am interested in analytical methodologies for the determination of biomarkers with an emphasis in Quality Assurance. I also lead on the sampling and fieldwork within the MEA group including ship surveys and shoreline sampling.
