Marine Fund Scotland 2026-27: general guidance notes

The Marine Fund Scotland 2026-27 is for projects starting and delivering in the 2026-27 financial year. At the time of publishing these General Guidance notes (March 2026), funding is only available for expenditure up to 31 March 2027. This means any purchases or work carried out on your project must have been completed and fully paid for by 31 March 2027.

The Marine Fund Scotland 2026-27 aims to provide application decisions within 12 weeks of the closing date. The closing date will be noted on the Marine Fund Scotland website (www.gov.scot/policies/marine-and-fisheries-grants) and can be confirmed by contacting MFS@gov.scot. This 12 week turnaround only applies in situations where the application is submitted with all required information. If we need to ask for further information, this could delay the time it takes to announce decisions.
