Marine and coastal restoration plan consultation: Scottish Government response
Scottish Government’s response to the consultation on the draft Marine and Coastal Restoration Plan.
Next steps
The finalised plan has been published alongside the consultation responses, analysis, and this report. We are now moving into the implementation phase and we will make sure we are transparent about the programme of works we envision in 2026 as Year 1 under the plan.
The Scottish Government will continue engaging with stakeholders and communities, both where we’re leading actions and in cases where we want to take a more facilitative role. We will also consider how the stakeholder advisory group can play a role going forward, as there were very constructive and informative discussions and a desire to continue dialogue. In addition to this there are many other networks and forums that we will tap into at national, regional and local levels over the course of the plan.
We would like to hear from anyone interested in the plan, whether they have a direct part to play in implementing actions, or have ideas about who else we should be speaking to. Any queries can be directed to marinerestoration@gov.scot.
