Discussion points

  • clarified action from first meeting, that initial (non binding) advice from OFGEM is that an economic licence is not required to transport carbon dioxide by truck, however, where that transport either connects to a site for carbon dioxide disposal or connects to a pipe or system of pipes to transport carbon dioxide, the persons operating that site or providing that service, respectively, will require a licence
  • operators will need to seek legal advice to clarify
  • clarification is required as to whether the Storage of Carbon Dioxide Regulations 2011 have been updated post EU exit
