All internal and external correspondence within and sent or received by the Scottish Government including attached documents, meeting handouts, memos, briefings to ministers, attendee lists, location of meeting, notes, minutes, or OneNote memos, linked to the following meetings:

1. John Swinney's meeting with Ross Greer on September 27, 2022
2. John Swinney's meeting with Ann Gloag on September 28, 2022
3. John Swinney's meeting with the Expert Economic Panel on September 29, 2022.
4. John Swinney's meeting with various MSPs on October 3, 2022
5. John Swinney's meeting with Tracy Black on October 5, 2022.

Response

For part 1 of your request, two documents are held.
We are able to provide two documents. Some information has been redacted under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA. The reason why this exemption is applicable is explained in Annex A to this letter.

For part 2 of your request, six documents are held.
We are unable to provide documents 1, 2 and 4 because an exemption under section 29(1)(d) of FOISA applies to that information.

We are unable to provide document 5 because an exemption under Section 30(b)(i) of FOISA applies to that information.

We are able to provide documents 3 and 6. Document 6 has been redacted under section 38(1 (b) of FOISA.

The reasons why these exemptions are applicable are explained in Annex A to this letter.

For part 3 of your request, seven documents are held.
We are unable to provide document 1 because an exemption applies under section 30(b)(i) of FOISA.

We are unable to provide documents 2 and 6 because an exemption applies under section 29(1)(a) of FOISA.
