Cyber resilience strategy 2025-2030: island communities impact assessment
This island communities impact assessment confirms that the Cyber Resilience Strategy 2025–2030 applies equally across Scotland, with no unique impacts on island communities. The strategy promotes inclusive, secure-by-design digital services for all sectors.
1. Island Communities Impact Assessment
The Strategic Framework for a Cyber Resilient Scotland aims to enhance Scotland’s digital security and resilience. It focuses on raising awareness of cyber risks, improving cyber resilience across all sectors, securing digital public services, and ensuring effective national cyber incident response for the public sector. The Framework emphasizes collaboration across public, private, and third sectors, and will be supported by a number of action plans – to be published after the strategy. The Framework promotes embedding cyber resilience into governance and adopting a secure-by-design approach for future digital services. It does not have any specific locational aspects; it seeks to improve cyber resilience across Scotland. Outcomes will be measured on a regular basis. There are no impacts on the island communities that are different from other communities and as such, a consultation is not required.
