How to apply

To apply you should:

• complete the application form (found in ‘supporting documents’)
• email your completed forms and supporting evidence to SocialCareAdvocacy@gov.scot by 8am on Monday 22 September 2025

In the application, besides demonstrating you meet the listed requirements in the eligibility section, you will be asked to provide information about:

Project structure and design:

• key outcomes you are looking to achieve, how they link to the fund’s overarching aim of ensuring advocacy partners’ voices are heard in the social care system, and the roles you will use to achieve those outcomes
• whether the project links to an existing project and, if so, how it is distinct
• what experience your organisation has of the type of advocacy your project will focus on
• how you plan to recruit your potential advocacy partners
• your knowledge of and links to your local social care system, including how you will connect to relevant social care, local authority or Health and Social Care Partnership staff in your geographic area as applicable
• any links your project has to the National Performance Framework and the Scottish Government priorities

Key project activity:

• key actions, outputs and timeframes, and how they link to the project’s outcomes
• what oversight will be in place to ensure outcomes are met
• how the project will ensure it is inclusive, accessible and supports diversity

Monitoring and evaluation:

• details of how you would collect diversity, participation and engagement data in a way that protects anonymity to support evaluation of the project
• confirmation that you would do so and share that data with us

Finance:

• detailed projected costs
• whether you will meet any further elements of the Fair Work First criteria
