Hate Crime Strategy delivery plan 2023 to 2026: implementation review

Overview of the activity undertaken in support of the first Hate Crime Strategy delivery plan between 2023 and 2026.

Conclusion

As the current delivery period draws to a close, this paper sets out the substantial progress and activity undertaken in support of the delivering Hate Crime Strategy. A significant proportion of the actions have now been completed, while further opportunities remain to build on progress in other areas.

Looking ahead to the next phase of hate crime delivery and activity, the Scottish Government will work in partnership with members of the Hate Crime Strategic Partnership Group, alongside wider stakeholders and communities, to assess whether the core aims of the Strategy continue to be fit for purpose and to identify new actions that may be required to ensure achievement of our shared aims and priorities.

The Scottish Government remains firmly committed to taking forward actions to prevent and address hate crime and prejudice, wherever and whenever it takes place.
