Health and social care - data strategy 2025 update: easy read

Easy read version of the data strategy for health and social care 2025 update on the progress and priorities.

Key priorities – the most important work

On 27 January 2025 the First Minister set out 4 key priorities to:

  • support making health and social care services better
  • show how digital services were an important part of this work

The 4 key priorities are:

1. making it easier to get treatment

2. making sure people get the right care in the right place

This means easier access to doctors, dentists, or pharmacists, and more care provided at home or in other new ways.

3. using digital ways of working, and technology to make it easier for people to get health social care services

4. prevention – working with people to stop illness from happening and to meet their needs in better ways
