1 Results for the 2021-22 SCJS are based on the fieldwork period of November 2021 to December 2022, findings are based on around 5,600 face-to-face interviews with adults living in private households in Scotland.

2 The population estimates data is sourced from the mid-year population estimates produced by NRS. The rebased population estimates for mid-2011 to mid-2021 have been used for the relevant years, and the mid-2022 and mid-2023 estimates have been used for 2022-23 and 2023-24 respectively. Previous years’ rates have been recalculated to reflect the rebased population figures.
