Items and actions

The Chair welcomed attendees and noted apologies. Actions from the previous meeting were discussed and objectives for the meeting set out. The minutes from the previous meeting were agreed. 

Scottish Government and UK Government provided an update on activity since the previous meeting of the GFIB Programme Board. 

CVS Falkirk updated on ongoing community work. 

Skills Development Scotland provided an update on the Forth Valley Regional Skills Action Plan. 

Forth Valley College provided an update on the Skills Transition Centre and on the reskilling support provided to Petroineos and INEOS O&P workers facing redundancy as a direct result of the closure of the Grangemouth Refinery.
 
Scottish Enterprise then provided an update on the progress of the Investment Taskforce.

An update on the Grangemouth Cluster Strategy followed. Scottish Enterprise have developed an infrastructure plan to drive delivery of the Strategy. 

Falkirk Council provided a short update on Grangemouth Transport Study work. 

Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Government then introduced the proposed new ways of working for GFIB Programme Board. The workstreams have been refreshed to align with the structure and objectives of the Grangemouth Just Transition Plan. The full GFIB Programme Board meetings will now take place quarterly and will focus on reviewing progress across the workstreams, coordinating activity and addressing cross-cutting issues. 

The Chair thanked participants for their contributions to the discussion and closed the meeting.
