Items and actions

The Chair welcomed attendees and noted apologies. Actions from the previous meeting were discussed and objectives for the meeting set out.  

Scottish Government and external speakers, Alma Economics, provided an update on the Grangemouth Just Transition Plan. 

Policy and Strategy workstream leads updated on the development of the industrial cluster strategy and infrastructure sub-group.

A comms video showcasing Grangemouth as a place to invest was previewed within the group.  

An update on the work on the Investment Taskforce being spearheaded by Scottish Enterprise followed.  

Skills Development Scotland provided an update on the development of the Forth Valley Skills Action Plan.  

Forth Valley College then provided an update on the Skills Transition Centre and alignment with GFIB, and on the reskilling support provided to Petroineos workers facing redundancy.  

CVS Falkirk updated on ongoing community work.
