Items and actions

The Scottish Government provided an update on activity since the previous meeting of the GFIB Programme Board.

CVS Falkirk provided an update on ongoing community work in relation to the Community Engagement workstream of GFIB.

Scottish Enterprise provided an update on Communications and Investor Outreach. 

The Cluster Strategy and Infrastructure subgroup then shared progress of the Cluster Strategy and Infrastructure Investment Plan with the Programme Board. 

The Skills subgroup provided an update on initiatives to support skills transition and workforce development followed by an update from the Innovation Workstream. 

Scottish Enterprise then presented an update on Strategy and Projects. This included an update on the Investment Taskforce which is leading work to identify and attract entities with an interest in progressing the proposals outlined in Project Willow and any other viable opportunities across the industrial cluster. 

Open discussion on implications of recent industrial closures, the Grangemouth Industrial Cluster’s viability, workforce and related projects followed. 

The Chair thanked participants for their contributions to the discussion and closed the meeting.
