Declaration of interest forms returned by members of the Scottish Cosmetic Interventions Expert Group and its sub-groups: FOI release

Information requested

This request concerns the Scottish Cosmetic Interventions Expert Group, including any sub-groups established as part of its work.

Please provide:

1. Copies of all completed declaration of interest forms returned by members of the Scottish Cosmetic Interventions Expert Group and its sub-groups from 1 December 2020 to the date of this request.

2. Copies of any register of interests maintained for the Scottish Cosmetic Interventions Expert Group or any of its sub-groups during that period.

3. Any written guidance, instructions or template forms issued to members concerning the declaration of interests.

Regarding part 3 of your request, I enclose a copy of most of the information you have requested, attached to this email as requested.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exemption(s) applies are explained in the Annex to this letter.

Exemption Annex

An exemption under section s.38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested, specifically the names of Scottish Government officials under Senior Civil Service (SCS) grade as per corporate policy.

This exemption is not subject to the ‘public interest test’, so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption.
