Russia trading analysis: FOI release

Information requested

In 2022, the Scottish Government appealed for all companies to break off trading relations with Russia. Could you supply any analysis undertaken of whether businesses did this, from the last nine months?

Enclosed, as an attachment, is a copy of the information you have requested. Please note that while our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance an exemption under section s.38(1)(b) (the personal data of a third party) of FOISA applies to some of the information you have requested as it is personal data of a third party. This exemption is not subject to the 'public interest test', so we are not required to consider if the public interest in disclosing the information outweighs the public interest in applying the exemption. Therefore, personal data such as names and email addresses have been redacted.

Also, some of the information you have requested is available from the Scottish Government’s interactive Exports Performance Monitor (https://scotland.shinyapps.io/sg-exports-performance-monitor/). Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you.
