Information requested
Details of the determinate sentenced population in Scottish prisons. You requested the average daily population of determinate sentenced prisoners broken down by index sentence length, age and index offence group. You also requested the median index sentence length in each band and the number of custodial receptions in each band if possible.
Response
I enclose the information you requested in an Excel workbook. Unfortunately the data are not available to provide receptionsÍž we track "arrivals" which are not directly comparable. I have nonetheless provided a count of sentenced arrivals by index sentence band in table 5.
