Climate change policy package: EIR release

Information requested

You asked for On 18th April 2024, Màiri McAllan, Cabinet Secretary for Wellbeing Economy, Net Zero and Energy, announced a package of 19 climate action measures in the Scottish Parliament.

For each of the 19 climate action policies announced on 18th April 2024, please provide the Scottish Government’s assessment of whether, as of 26th March 2026, the policy has been delivered, abandoned, is in progress, or has not yet been started. For each policy which the Scottish Government assesses as having been delivered, please provide any information held by the Scottish Government which demonstrates that it has been delivered.

Response

As the information you have requested is ‘environmental information’ for the purposes of the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (EIRs), we are required to deal with your request under those Regulations. We are applying the exemption at section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), so that we do not also have to deal with your request under FOISA.

I enclose a copy of all of the information you requested in the format you asked for. In some instances we have used 'Revised' to define the status of a policy as it is a more suitable heading.

Most of the information you have requested is available from The Scottish Government (gov.scot) or Transport Scotland (Transport Scotland) websites. Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. We have provided this information in the attached document.
