Scottish Government spend on the European Friends of Scotland group: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

How much has the Scottish Government given/spent on the Scotland's Friends of Europe MEP group in the last five years, with a breakdown per year and what the money was for? Could you also provide the costs of goods and service in this?

Response

The European Friends of Scotland group is an informal network aimed at facilitating dialogue between the Scottish Government/Parliament and European Parliament. There have been no funds given to the group. The facilitation of Ministerial and official-level engagement with the group and individual members is carried out as part of the Scottish Government Brussels office's routine operating costs.
