Ministerial expenses of former First Minister Nicola Sturgeon: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.

Information requested

In light of the information pertaining to Peter Murrell it is clear that there might have been some fraudulent activity with regards to SNP accounts. Can you please advise and reassure us that the expenses of the former first minister Nicola Sturgeon have been thoroughly checked to ensure that the same invoices were not used to claim against both SNP and Scottish Government expense systems.

Please provide a list of all suppliers who Nicola Sturgeon claimed against by month for all available years with claim amount.

Response

The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for because Nicola Sturgeon did not claim ministerial expenses in her time in government. In relation to MSP expenses you may wish to contact the Scottish Parliament who have responsibility for MSP expenses.

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
