Cost of Deputy First Minister's trip to the United Arab Emirates: FOI release

Information requested

All costs of travel associated with the Deputy First Minister's travel to and from the United Arab Emirates from January 2025 to date of receipt.

Please include the following as separate sections:

1. Cost of transport (all, including taxis), cost of accommodation, cost of dining (please provide an itemised list or copies or receipts if available).

2. Any gifts either received or gifted.

Question 1

I have interpreted your request to mean the costs associated specifically with the Deputy First Minister in relation to her engagements in the United Arab Emirates.

I have included the requested information in Annex A

Question 2

I have included a breakdown of the gifts given in Annex B.

In relation to the gifts presented to the Deputy First Minister in January 2026, an exemption applies Under Section 27(1) (Information intended for future publication) as these will be published as part of the Ministerial engagement, travel and gifts within the next 12 weeks.
