Procurement staff salary information for Scottish Government Executive Agencies: FOI release
Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002
Information requested
Please provide the salary range (or salary band, where applicable) for the most senior procurement lead within each Executive Agency of the Scottish Government. For clarity, I am seeking the salary information for the individual holding the highest level procurement role within each agency, typically titled “Head of Procurement”, “Head of Commercial”, “Head of Procurement and Commercial”, “Procurement Manager” or equivalent. level procurement role within each agency, typically titled “Head of Procurement”, “Head of Commercial”, “Head of Procurement and Commercial”, “Procurement Manager” or equivalent.
For each Executive Agency, please provide:
1. The agency name
2. The job title of its most senior procurement professional
3. The corresponding salary range or pay band for that role
4. Whether the role falls under Senior Civil Service (SCS), a Scottish Government pay band (e.g., C1/C2) or another agencyspecific grading structure
Response
While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. This is because the Scottish Government can only provide information on Executive Agencies that are within the Scottish Government Main (SGM) bargaining unit.
The agencies within SGM are provided in Annex A.
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested.

This information is provided as at 31st January 2026. Job title information provided consists of the profession, job family and job function assigned to the position the staff member sits in. There instances of multiple staff with identical job titles and grades identified as the senior procurement person in their organisation, these have been condensed for convenience.
