Aberdeenshire defibrillator queries: FOI release

Information requested
1. The total number of schools in Aberdeenshire that currently have a defibrillator on site.
2. A list of the schools, which currently have a defibrillator on site.
3. The total number of council-owned public halls in Aberdeenshire that currently have a defibrillator on site.
4. A list of the public halls, which currently have a defibrillator on site.
Response
This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA confirming that the Scottish Government does not hold the information you have requested. The Scottish Government does not collect information on the provision of defibrillators in local authority areas.
During the process of handling your request, officials identified the Defibrillators in All Scottish Schools, a proposal paper produced by the third sector organisation DH9. This paper includes data from January 2025 on the number of schools with a defibrillator in Aberdeenshire. DH9 has granted permission for the Scottish Government to release a redacted copy of the paper to you as part of this FOI response. I have attached it to this email.
