Information requested

  •  Minutes of any meetings involving Transport Scotland where implementation of Recommendation 18 of the Strategic Transport Projects Review 2 (STPR2) on supporting integrated journeys at ferry terminals has been discussed, since 1 January 2023
  • Correspondence between Transport Scotland and either ScotRail, Stena Line, or Cairnryan ferry terminal specifically regarding implementation of Recommendation 18 of STPR2, since 1 January 2023
  • Documents or Correspondence relating to the conduct and scope of the review of integration and accessibility of ferry terminals, as described in Recommendation 18 of STPR2, since 1 January 2023 
  • Direct Correspondence between Transport Scotland and Stena Line, ScotRail, Cairnryan ferry terminal or Dumfries and Galloway Council regarding public transport connections at Cairnryan ferry terminal since 1 January 2023

Under section 25(1) of FOISA, we do not have to give you information which is already reasonably accessible to you. If, however, you do not have internet access to obtain this information from the websites listed, then please contact me again and I will send you a paper copy.

3. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exception under section 38(1)(b) (personal information) of
FOISA applies to that information. The reasons why that exception applies are explained in the Annex to this letter below.

An exception applies

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, under section 38(1)(b) provides that where the information requested includes personal data about a person other than the applicant and disclosure would contravene the data protection principles in Schedule 1 to the Data Protection Act 1998, the public authority shall not make that personal data available.

In this instance, we consider that to reveal whether the information you have requested exists or is held by the Scottish Government would involve making personal information available about employees of the Scottish Government’ or individuals who have corresponded with the Scottish Government in contravention of section 38(1)(b). Therefore, all personal data has been removed or replaced with ‘[redacted]’.
