Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care and NHS Fife Chief Executive meeting: FOI release

Information requested

Health Secretary Neil Gray held a Teams call with Carol Potter, chief executive of NHS Fife on November 12, 2025 to discuss her resignation. Please provide minutes and notes from the meeting and any follow up emails and correspondence.

Provide all correspondence, documents and meeting notes between the Cabinet Secretary and Ms Potter since February 2025.

I enclose the information we are able to provide that falls within the scope of your request (attached with the covering email). In this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because an exemption(s) under section(s) s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA applies to that information.

For clarity, the Cabinet Secretary and Ms Potter had one call regarding her resignation. As a result, only information relating to that single call and any relevant associated correspondence is held.

In responding to the second part of your request, we have interpreted it as covering the same subject matter — communications between the Cabinet Secretary and Ms Potter, including in relation to her resignation,
from February 2025 onwards.
