Kapital Residential Limited loan information: FOI release

Information requested

The following information related to a loan made to Kapital Residential Limited:

1) Has the liquidation of Kapital Residential concluded yet?

2) Did the Scottish Government attempt to recover money owed to it by the company through the liquidator and was it successful in that?

3) If the money owed was not recovered did the Scottish Government ascertain if the houses Kapital Residential had said were in construction, in order to secure Covid funding, were actually in construction?

Response

The answers to your questions are:

1) The liquidation of Kapital Residential has not been concluded yet, information on the company’s status can be found here: KAPITAL RESIDENTIAL LIMITED overview - Find and update company information - GOV.UK

2) Yes, the Scottish Government has sought to recover funds owed through the liquidation process. The liquidation is ongoing and to date £381,699.70 has been received from the sale of Lundin Links.

3) The Scottish Government does not have the information you have asked for. This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested.
