National review of responses to group-based child sexual exploitation materials: FOI release

Information requested

All Ministerial briefing packs, communications briefing materials, and presentation materials prepared for the announcement made by the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills on Wednesday 4 December 2025 regarding the national review of responses to group-based child sexual exploitation.

This should include:

• ministerial briefing packs (including the ‘lines to take’, Q&A sections, and supplementary speaking notes)
• finalised communications briefing provided to Ministers for use with media or stakeholders
• the final version of the communications grid relating to the announcement
• any approved ‘key messages’ or ‘framing statements’ circulated to officials or Ministers in relation to the announcement.

Response

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because of exemptions under section 30(b)(i) and under section 38(1)(b) of FOISA applies to that information.
