Registered vape retailers statistics: FOI release

Information requested

You asked for a breakdown of the total number of retailers per year from when the Register of Tobacco and Nicotine Vapour Product Retailers began (from 2017 to the most recent year available register for each year. If available, for each of these years, to also provide the number of retailers registered to sell:

(a) nicotine vapour products only
(b) tobacco products only
(c) both

Response

Whilst you have not stated the period of the year that this request covers, our aim is to provide information whenever possible. We have therefore included a snapshot below as of 1st October each year 2022 - 2025 where information is available.

The Scottish Government doesn’t hold information from 2017-2021 as a snapshot was not taken for those years. The reasons why are explained in the Annex to this letter
