Financial information relating to employability programmes: FOI release

Information requested

Detailed financial information relating to the following employability programmes:

• No One Left Behind
• Parental Employability Support Fund
• Young Person’s Guarantee

Please provide the following data for each Scottish local authority, broken down by financial year from 2020/21 to the most recently completed year, and including any available data for the current financial year:

For each programme, local authority, and financial year, please include:

1. Total funding allocation from the Scottish Government

2. Total amount claimed by the local authority

3. Total amount paid to the local authority by the Scottish Government

4. Total unclaimed or outstanding funding at year-end

5. Total amount repaid or returned to the Scottish Government if relevant

6. Carry-forward funding:
- Amount allowed to be carried forward
- Amount actually carried forward

7. Breakdown of expenditure:
- Total funding spent on staffing costs per year for each individual local authority
- Total funding spent on commissioned services per year for each individual local authority

In relation to point 7, the Scottish Government awards funding for employability to Local Authorities, which act as the Lead Accountable Body in the funding relationship. Local Authorities manage funding on behalf of the Local Employability Partnership, who play a critical role in the planning and commissioning of employability services locally.
