Teacher Remedy Statements: FOI release

Information requested

1. Please send me the number active teachers waiting for their ABS-RSS Annual Benefits statements. as of October 31, 2025.

2. Please send me the number of teachers waiting for the resolution of revoked, early retirement buyout reduction, ERRBO, payments.

3. Please send me the number of members of the teachers' scheme awaiting issue of the letter which will present members with options regarding their ERBO and including those who will be given the option to revoke their ERRBO contract and receive a compensation payment, as of October 31, 2025.

Response

1. There are 3,652 active remedy teachers waiting for their ABS-RSS Annual Benefits statements as of 31 October 2025.

2. The number will be unknown until all members have received and returned their option forms.

3. There are 1,103 eligible members of the Teachers' scheme. They will all be issued with a letter presenting them with three options, one of which will be to receive compensation for the contributions they paid for the ERRBO contract. As of 31 October 2025, no letters have been issued.
