Scottish Forestry advertising costs: FOI release

Information requested

You asked for the following information:

(1) Across the last 10 years what is the total cost to your organisation of all forms of advertising (please can you break that up by year)?

(2) Please could you break the answer to (1) up by form of advertising?

(3) In terms of (1) could you break your answer up into theme of advertising campaign?

Response

We must advise that Scottish Forestry was established as a public body on 01 April 2019. Following comprehensive searches of our records, we can confirm that no relevant data predating this formation date is held by Scottish Forestry. Consequently, we are applying an exemption under Section 17(1) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA), which states:

"Where an authority to whom a request for information is made in accordance with section 1(1) of this Act does not hold the information to which the request relates, it shall, as soon as is reasonably practicable, give the applicant notice in writing to that effect."

As information requested for the period before 01 April 2019 is not held by the organisation, we are required to issue this notice under Section 1(4) Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA).
