Spend on retrospective works at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH): FOI release

How much has been spent on retrospective works at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) in Glasgow since opening until now, including:

Scaffolding at the main entrance
Replacing glass panels
Closure of the atrium
Blocking off balconies
Closures of theatres due to contamination found in water system.

Response

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below.

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde have received allocations from the Scottish Government related to “retrospective” or rectification works at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH). However, the Scottish Government does not have a breakdown of the spending that would allow me to provide the level of detail you have asked for.

In addition to these specific allocations, the Health Board also receive a Capital Formula allocation to be used at their discretion. Some of this funding may have been allocated for the purposes as you have requested, but the Scottish Government do not hold this information.

Notwithstanding the above, to date the following allocations have been made to NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in relation to rectification works at QEUH:
