Ministerial and Special Adviser private office structure: FOI release

Information request and response under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002.


Information requested

For each of the following:

  • Cabinet Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs’ Private Office
  • Minister for Victims and Community Safety’s Private Office
  • Minister for Parliamentary Business and Veterans’ Private Office
  • Special Advisers’ (SpAds) Private Office

Please provide:

  • A breakdown of all posts/roles within each office (e.g. Private Secretary, Assistant Private Secretary, Diary Manager, Correspondence Officer, etc.)
  • The Scottish Government grade or pay band for each post.
  • A brief description of responsibilities of each role (if held).
  • The reporting structure or hierarchy – i.e. who reports to whom / line management structure.

If available, an organisational chart would be ideal. Im not expecting any names of non senior civil servants, just the position they hold
