Transport Scotland - Scottish Zero Emission Bus Challenge Fund (ScotZEB) funding queries: FOI release

Information requested

The following information relating to ScotZEB 1 and ScotZEB 2:

• The total amount of private investment leveraged as part of each round, broken down by project or operator for each round where possible.
• The ratio of public funding to private investment for each round.
• Any supporting documentation or reports detailing how these figures were calculated.

I enclose a copy of most of the information you requested, in an excel format as requested.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have some of the information you have requested. The reasons why we don't have the information are explained below.

Transport Scotland does not hold the data you requested in the format you requested it in i.e. as a ratio of public to private sector spending for ScotZEB 1 and 2. To provide you with the data as a ratio would mean that Transport Scotland would be creating data in order to answer your request. Therefore, I am providing you the figures relating to the scheme costs, and subsidy amounts requested and claimed. You may then undertake your own calculations on these figures.
